Not sure how many of you have tried to tie a favor bow, but it's harder than you think. Because of this, i'm going to show you the "cheater method". This is one I use in every photo and every favor I make. Much easier and less time consuming. Below is step by step instructions. If you have questions you can either comment here, or send me an email and i'll be happy to help you out!
Supplies:
Favor ribbon from yours truly, scissors, curling ribbon (pre cut the length needed to wrap your favor), and the favor you are tying the bow to.
Step One:
You will receive your favor ribbons on a spool, uncut. Unroll the spool and start cutting, between the left and right personalization, as shown above. Usually this will be the names and the date depending on what you asked for.
Step Two:
Take the tails of the ribbon and cross right over left, OR left over right. Either way works, as long as the personalization makes sense. Make sure they don't read backwards.
Step Three:
Pull the center of the top loop to the cross-over point as shown. If the tails of the ribbon or the loops are not even this is ok. We will even them out in a couple steps.
Step Four:
Take the curling ribbon and set it down first, then flip over the ribbon, personalization side down and place it onto of the curling ribbon. This and the next step you might want a second set of hands to help until you get the hang of it!
Step Five:
Tie a knot!
Step Six:
Flip it over and make sure the bow loops and tails are even. Gently pull if they need it. Imprinted ribbon is hot stamped and not permanent. If you handle the imprint too much it will cause it to rub off.
Step Seven:
Tie the curling ribbon to your favor in a knot, trim the excess and TADA!!! You are done!
